Mental Health First Aid (Wales)

Course Overview

This training course will teach you how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue.

Mental Health First Aid Wales

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of poor mental health so that you can support those affected by it.

It also aims to reduce the stigma of mental health issues in the workplace and to raise awareness of a range of conditions to those who may not know about them.

There are proposed changes to the law to make having a Mental Health First Aider compulsory in the workplace – it is currently being debated in Parliament and the Welsh Assembly.

Poor mental health has a significant impact on businesses with the number of sick days taken due to it going into the thousands.
